Ana Nikodinovska Krstevska, Associate Professor in EU Law and EU Foreign Policy and Head of Department of International Relations and EU Law at the Faculty of Law, University Goce Delčev, Štip (NMK)

Ana Nikodinovska Krstevska has finished BA and MA studies in Italy (Orientale – Napoli and Alma Mater – Bologna), and she has attained her PhD in Studies for European integrations at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje.

She is a coordinator for the University Goce Delčev – Štip in two Jean Monnet projects in matter of asylum and migration and EU Foreign policy (MAPS and BORDEURS), and she is also the coordinator of the activities for the Goce Delčev University in the Module Jean Monnet EU – Western Balkans: Cooperation on Justice and Home Affairs.

Her current research is focused on European asylum and migration policies vis-à-vis national approaches of Western Balkan states, with specific attention to cooperation in migration, prevention, and combat of illegal migration, outsourcing and externalization of European security towards third countries.

Olga Koshevaliska (Gurkova), Associate Professor in Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Juvenile Criminal Law and International Criminal Law and Dean at the Faculty of Law, University Goče Delcev, Štip (NMK)

Olga Koshevaliska has finished her Bachelor, LL.M and PhD Studies at the Faculty of Law “Iustiniaus Primus”, St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. The title of her PhD thesis is Privacy vs. Security when exchanging personal data in criminal matters in EU.

She has attended many study visits and trainings home and abroad and she participates in different national and international research projects, among which in two Jean Monnet projects, Migration and Asylum Policies System (MAPS) and New Borderlands in Europe (BORDEURS). She also participates in the activities of the Jean Monnet Module EU – Western Balkans: Cooperation on Justice and Home Affairs.

Her interest is in the criminal law area, international criminal law, protection of personal data, asylum policy and juvenile justice, and her latest research works focus on international police cooperation among EU and Western Balkan States.

Elena Maksimova, Assistant Professor in Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Organized Crime and Criminology and a Vice Dean for education at the Faculty of Law, University Goce Delčev, Štip (NMK)

Elena Maksimova has finished her Bachelor, LL.M and PhD Studies at the Faculty of Law “Iustiniaus Primus”, St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. The title of her PhD thesis is Female crime, with accent on victimological contribution.

She has attended many conferences, round tables and trainings, home and abroad and she participates in different national and international research projects, among which in Jean Monnet projects. She is also trainer of students for participating in international competitions in human rights area (ECHR and jurisprudence of the Court).

Her interest is in the criminal law area, criminology, victimology, penology, human rights and freedoms, international criminal law, and criminological side of migration and asylum.

Erjon Hitaj, Head of Department of Law, Ismail Qemali University of Vlore (Albania)

Erjon Hitaj is Head of Department of Law at “Ismail Qemali” University of Vlore, Albania. PhD in International Order and Human Rights at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. Former Assistant-Professor of European Union Law at Sapienza University of Rome (EU Law Chair – Prof. Augusto Sinagra). Lecturer of Public International Law; European Union Law and Human Rights Law at “Ismail Qemali” University of Vlore (Albania), Department of Law. Author of Diritto internazionale e diritti dell’uomo nell’ordinamento albanese, Rome, 2013 and several research papers.

Main research fields: International law, EU law, International Organizations law, Diplomatic and Consular law, Human rights law. Speaks fluent English, italian and spanish (Albanian native speaker).

Ismail Tafani, Head of the Department of Legal Sciences, Albanian University of Tirana (Albania)

Ismail Tafani graduated from Faculty of Law at (Alma Mater Studiorum) University of Bologna in 2007.

He completed his doctoral studies in Italy, at the University of Bologna in June 2014, with the maximum evaluation by the evaluation committee PhD at the University of Bologna on “State, Citizen and Services in the European and International Systems”. His profile is Constitutional Law.

During his doctoral studies Dr. Tafani has collaborated as an assistant in the Department of Constitutional Law, in its research and didactic activity, in collaboration with Prof. Luca Mezzetti and Prof. Michele Belletti, under the leadership of Prof. Andrea Morrone. Research activity is focused on Costitutional Law, European Union Law and he is currently an internal lecturer as well as the Head of the Department of Legal Sciences in Albanian University.

Niuton Mulleti, Lecturer of International Relations, Acting Head of the Department of Law, EPOKA University of Tirana (Albania)

Niuton Mulleti holds a PhD degree in International Relations and Diplomacy completed in 2016 at the HEIP-Centre d’Études Diplomatiques et Stratégiques (CEDS) in Paris, France. With a Bachelor and Master’s degree in International Relations awarded respectively by Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey, and Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, from 2004 to 2008, he worked at the (Central) Bank of Albania, firstly as a Specialist and then as Head of Division coordinating the process of the approximation of Bank of Albania’s legislation and procedures with the acquis communautaire.

Since 2008, Dr. Mulleti has been working at EPOKA University in Tirana, Albania, initially as a Lecturer at the Department of Political Science and International Relations, and since 2017, as Acting Head of the Department of Law. He has been the Institutional Coordinator at the Erasmus+ Project “Strategic support on strengthening the quality assurance structures at the private higher education institutions in Albania” (QAinAL) – Project no. 561510-EPP-1-2015-1-AT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP under KA2-Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education. Dr. Mulleti is also the coordinator of the activities of EPOKA University in the “EU-Western Balkans Cooperation on Justice and Home Affairs” (EUWEB) Jean Monnet Module.

His main research interest areas are Theories of European Integration, EU Law and EU Foreign and Defence Policy.
